Sustainable Antibac Bead Barrier Print Finish

Our exclusive PRINT 4 ANTIBAC BEAD BARRIER process was first developed for the hospitality industry; we now also supply it across healthcare, education, catering, manufacturing, and delivery service sectors.

A fully tested antibacterial bead barrier layer is applied to the print surface to prevent bacterial growth; the active ingredient gives maximum protection for the lifetime of the product.

PRINT 4 ANTIBAC BEAD BARRIER is plastic free and it’s also 100% compostable.

This is cost-effective, sustainable option for a wide range of uses, such as menus, brochures, packaging, wrapping and delivery packaging, boxes, folders and leaflets.

Infections from various viruses and bacteria come from microorganisms. Microbes are commonly spread by sneezing, coughing and through touch.

They appear in the air we breathe and on items we handle. Microbes are evolving and have developed resistance to some antibiotics, thus posing a greater danger.

Using an AntiBac barrier on print could have a huge immediate impact on health and safety by decreasing the transmission of viruses and bacteria.

It’s a simple process of applying liquid AntiBac at the time of print production using our anilox roller. This is a robust cylinder, constructed of a steel core, with a porous ceramic coating that is engraved with microscopic cells along its surface. The cells release the AntiBac barrier onto the sheet which is then cured.

Each time the printed item, for example a menu, is handled, the AntiBac will be 99.99% effective in protecting against the spread of E. coli, MRSA and Campylobacter.
